When christmas is viewed by non-believers, it simply looked over and thought of as the time of year to celebrate the absence of school. However, according to the Christmas faith, Christmas is actually one of the most important holidays of the year. It signifies the virgin birth of Jesus, the messiah. Therefore, people gather, with family and friends, in order to celebrate the miracle birth.
Trinity. According to scripture, Jesus is described as the human flesh of God Almighty. He is known to be the savior of humanity that came to cleanse all sins. Additionally, to save the people, Jesus was prophesied to be the great sacrifice. Therefore, the three wise men had given Jesus three gifts of gold, incents, and mur. The mur signified preservatives, which would be used after he was crucified.
Jesus had influence and help from many other people, as well. He was influenced by Mary, Joseph, the shepherds, and the Persian astrologers. Mary and Joseph were his parents. They had sacrified their image, pride, and repsect to give birth to him. Due to this, Jesus wasn't raised with riches, but he was taught manners and the way of life. The shepherds had served as helping hands to Mary and Joseph when they were traveling to Bethleham. The shepherds had shown kindness which allowed the couple to arrive safely. Finally, the Persian astrologers played their role in the story by providing awareness for the propehcy. They had informed the people of the north star.
Jesus's title as messiah has been challenged countless times. People question why Jesus was sent to earth as a child. He was the Almighy God, which means he could have came down as a higher being, such as royalty or a king, and forced the people to reluctantly follow him. However, that wouldn't serve his purpose. So, instead, he was born in the dirtiest of places, a manger. Jesus was meant to come to earth as a humble man. He was born into a poor family to be able to relate to the feelings of other people that shared the same poor circumstances, as himself. He leanred the feeling of humiliation. Also, by being born as a poor man, he couldn't use his 'wealth' to force people to follow him. The people had to follow him out of love and faith.
The Christmas Carol: 'Silent Night' (Stanza2):
Silent night, holy night!
Shepherds quake at the sight
Glories stream from heaven afar
Heavenly hosts sing Alleluia!
Christ, the Saviour is born
Christ, the Saviour is born
The stanza explains the birth of Jesus. This emphasizes the bright light that pentrated the darkness. It was a ray of light that shined upon baby Jesus's face. It served as the star that guided the shepherds and wise-man to pay respect to the child.
The first line, "Silent Night, Holy Night" literally signifies how the night was silent and calm when Mary was giving birth. It was silent because Mary and Joseph gave birth to Jesus in a manger in Bethleham. "Shepherds quake at the sight" signifies the birth of the messiah. The shepherds all came to visit baby Jesus and stared upon him in awe. "Glories stream from heaven afar" signifies how the ray of light had streamed from the heaven above. "Heavenly hosts sing Alleluia." Alleluia means 'praise ye the Lord.' Therefore, this phrase could signify the angels singing praise to the Lord and pouring their blessing upon baby Jesus. Also, on earth, the wise men had showered the baby with gifts. "Christ, the savior is born" literally means what is written. It signifies the rejoice of the birth of Jesus. Jesus, the one who would save his people.
